Neoforce continues to evolve with a new update full of powerful improvements, new functionalities and essential security updates. In this release, we have further extended the API, made dataset fields more flexible and optimised the user experience. In addition, the focus is on privacy protection and security, with measures to better protect sensitive data.
A major improvement in this area is the addition of the Referrer-Policy: same-origin. This means that when you click on external links in Neoforce, your browser does not pass on any information about the origin of the click (such as your session or internal URL structure). This protects users from unintentional data breaches and increases overall privacy.
Furthermore, we made several optimisations to making data loading faster and more efficient, such as a asynchronously loading history tab, improved API validation and a simplified way to edit date fields via relative time values.
Curious about all the changes? Below you can read exactly what has been added, improved and fixed!
What have we added?
- Dataset and additional fields can now depend on multiple fields simultaneously.
- The variable ${app.currentUser.licence} has been added for additional insight into the relevant user's licence details.
- The email wizard within tickets now has a visual button to easily add attachments.
- It is now possible to update date fields via the API with relative formats, such as +3 months or next monday.
- Data validation in the API has been extended to verify input even better.
- Text fields are automatically converted to upper or lower case if set.
- Standard texts can now also be used when editing HTML (WYSIWYG), with keyboard shortcuts for number selection.
- The 'History' tab now loads 'separately' from the rest of the page which brings a performance boost!
What did we adjust or fix?
- The ticket status is now correctly updated when a document is uploaded via the portal (if this setting is enabled).
- The Referrer-Policy: same-origin header has been added to further improve the privacy of our users.
- Tickets could not be saved if mandatory fields were hidden via a template; this has been fixed.
- Users who were required to set up 2FA could not log out. This has been fixed.
- When copying a ticket, the task list was not included; this now works correctly.
- A vulnerability in input validation has been fixed.
- The security of the handshake procedure, API keys and user sessions has been further tightened.
