With this latest release of 2024, we are again introducing a series of changes, optimisations and fixes to all production environments of Neoforce. Below is a brief overview of the main points from the changelog. As always, for the full changelog, please visit the application under "About Neoforce".
What have we added?
- Fields in forms (for automations and the customer portal) can now contain a default value. This allows you to set data in advance, so customers can be helped even faster.
- The 'attachments' field, when sending an e-mail from a ticket, now shows 'live' the available attachments in both the ticket and any linked assets.
- In datasets, it has become possible to create your own composite columns. You use the -known- variables for this and you can add formatting via Markdown if necessary.
- It is now possible to make bulk reservations from the customer portal.
- You can also add additional facilities (such as coffee, tea or a beamer) when booking rooms.
- Through your personal settings, you can now set a 'default team' for the tickets. This will be used when you have not specifically selected a team.
- Templates (for tickets) can now also create a timeline item.
- From now on, it is also possible to limit e-mail templates (tickets) per team.
- If you have the corresponding management rights, you can stop or cancel the stopwatch of others.
- Major tickets can now be published on the customer portal to which others can create a new 'child ticket' at the touch of a button.
- You can now use up to five (previously three) fields in the secondary title of a dataset(schema).
- The databaseID can now also be exported to xlsx or pdf.
What did we change or fix?
- It was possible to use multiple fields with the same name (and variable) in one form. This is now no longer possible. A new field with the same name will automatically receive a sequence number.
- You cannot now make a majorticket a 'child' of itself.
- When available, logos and photos are shown in many more places. For example, consider an organisation whose logo is now also shown in search results.
- The 'photo' field can now also be added to the index (table) of persons.
- Read notifications were deleted based on the date they were initially created. This is obviously incorrect and now they are deleted based on the date they were read.
- Various minor other UI and UX improvements.
As mentioned at the beginning of this article, this is the last release of 2024. The next release will be released on Wednesday (evening) 8 January, with a lot of changes and improvements again, of course.
